Rapport with your subject and why it is important

So why does it matter who you shoot and why does it matter how they respond to you. I cant stress this enough. I spend close to 20 minutes with a person before shooting. I talk to them, but I listen to them,. Let them talk about themselves, likes, dislikes, movies, food, why Rick and Morty is great, whatever.

When you shoot them then, you have a rapport, you can talk, you are not BARKING commands, but asking to move their head, their chin move a bit. You want to turn a subject off, go ahead and command. I joke all the time shooting. I get genuine smiles. See below for some nice refreshing, not so commercial shots!
